Dr. Rhonda Richardson Davis is a Spirit-led servant whose life and ministry reflect a deep love for God and God's people. She is known for her compassionate heart, her wisdom, and her unwavering commitment to building strong families, strong communities, and a strong church.
Blessed with both professional excellence and spiritual depth, First Lady Davis has pursued her education with purpose and passion, attending Florida A&M University, The University of Memphis, and Memphis Theological Seminary. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and an Executive Master of Science in Nursing & Leadership. She also earned a Doctorate in Ministry with an emphasis on Leadership, completing her dissertation on “Reimagining the Role of the First Lady in the Black Church.”
For more than 25 years, she has served with distinction in the field of nursing, where her ability to bring people together, guide teams through complex decisions, and elevate standards of care has made a lasting impact. She views her vocation as an extension of her calling—another avenue through which she can demonstrate Christ’s love, healing, and compassion.
Dr. Rhonda carries a special burden for those on the margins of society. She is deeply engaged in ministry to the unsheltered community of Memphis, offering encouragement, dignity, and hope to those in need. As the past Board Chair and a current board member of Room in the Inn–Memphis, she has played a vital role in expanding the organization’s outreach and strengthening its mission to offer Christ-centered holy hospitality to unhoused individuals.
Her dedication to leadership development is also evident in her service on the Board of Directors for the Boy Scouts of America and in her role as Board Chair for Young Wall Street, an organization committed to equipping young people with the financial knowledge and practical skills necessary to build wealth and pursue long-term financial independence. She further extends her commitment to service through active membership in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., a sisterhood devoted to public service and the uplift of African American women.
At home and in the church, Dr. Rhonda serves faithfully alongside her husband and pastor, Dr. Christopher B. Davis, partnering with him to support the spiritual, emotional, and practical needs of the congregation. With grace and humility, she provides encouragement, guidance, and a listening ear to members of all ages.
Above all, she cherishes her roles as wife and mother, and she strives to model a life of balance, integrity, and devotion to God. First Lady Rhonda Richardson Davis is a shining example of what it means to serve with excellence, lead with compassion, and live with purpose. Her ministry continues to bless not only her church family, but the entire community.
