Our Sunday and weekly prayer services are geared to worshippers of all ages. Coming together as a community strengthens and guides us in our daily life. For those who wish to join us, our congregation is always waiting with open hearts.
Since May 2, 1879, we have wholeheartedly welcomed members of the greater Memphis community to join us in song, service, worship and prayer at St. Paul Baptist Church.
We are glad to welcome you to this thriving and hope-filled congregation.
The history of St. Paul Baptist Church evolved from the midst of the Reconstruction Period following the Civil War. Today, under the leadership of Rev. Christopher B. Davis, the St. Paul Baptist Church has embraced the concept of doing and achieving to embrace God’s vision for this church -
“Seeking the Salvation of the City.”
St. Paul Baptist Church is an inclusive church committed to Christ and His word. We are dedicated to sharing the love of Christ through ministry, fellowship and worship. Our church is not just a house of worship. At its core are the members and believers that come together to practice God’s word, celebrate His love and extend His gifts to all.
The commitment of the staff and leadership is at the heart of what makes us a living, thriving church. They are dedicated to serving the community and strengthening the impact of our church on people’s lives.
St. Paul is an open and welcoming church. From humble beginnings, we have grown into a sizeable congregation. Our typical services include prayer, sermon and community inclusiveness. We are always overjoyed when people want to come to worship with us, so please know there’s always room for more in our ranks. We look forward to meeting you.
